Voter Information

There is one more election in 2024–the General on Tues., Nov. 5.

ATTENTION ABSENTEE VOTERS: Update–The rest of the ballots have arrived and anyone who has already requested an absent voter ballot has been sent one! The AV ballots were taken to the Bellevue PO on Thursday, Oct. 3 and should arrive at your homes shortly. AV ballots will be sent out within 48 hours or less of our office receiving your AV ballot application, from now through Friday, Nov. 1. Ballots cannot be sent by mail after 5:00 pm on Nov. 1, but you may still pick up an AV ballot at our office until 4:00 pm on Monday, Nov. 4. Thanks for your patience!

For the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, General Election, Bellevue Twp. polls will be open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Bellevue High School Aux Gym, at 576 Love Rd., Bellevue. The Absent Voter Counting Board will be held at the Bellevue Twp. Hall, 121 N. Main St., Bellevue, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, to count all timely-returned absentee ballot for the 2024 General Election.

In addition to voting at the polls on Election Day and absentee voting, Early Voting will now be offered for all federal and state elections. Early Voting for Bellevue Twp. will be held in cooperation with most other Eaton Co. jurisdictions at the Carmel Twp. Hall for nine days prior to each election. Early voting for the Nov. 5 Primary will be held Sat., Oct. 26 through Sun., Nov. 3 at the Carmel Twp. Hall, 661 Beech Hwy., Charlotte. Please call the township office for the hours of specific Early Voting days. Close of Polls Tabulation for the Early Voting will take place at 8:00 pm on Tues., Nov. 5 at the Eaton County Clerk’s Office, 1045 Independence Blvd., Charlotte.

If you wish to receive an absentee ballot for all future elections, please contact the clerk for an application to be added to the new permanent mail ballot list. Rather than receiving an application for one or more of the elections every calendar year (as with the old permanent absentee voter list), you will apply once to receive a ballot for each election until you choose to be removed from the list. If you move, you will remain on the list and receive your ballot from your new jurisdiction at your new mailing address. If you move out of state, become ineligible to vote, move and fail to update your address, or fail to vote in six consecutive elections, you will be removed from the list.
