Voter Information
The 2025 Election Cycle has started! There will be a Special Election on May 6, 2025 for an Eaton County Public Safety Millage. For full ballot language, please contact the Township Clerk at (269) 763-2989 or bellevueclerk@gmail.com. Absentee ballots for the May 6 election have arrived! Absentee ballots have been mailed to anyone on the Permanent Ballot list and to anyone who has returned an absentee ballot application for this election. The Public Accuracy Test for the May 6 election will occur on April 21 at 10:00 am at the Bellevue Twp. Office. This is an opportunity to see how a tabulator to be used at the election is tested to prove it’s accuracy. If you’d like to see how the tabulator is set up before the testing, arrive between 9:30 – 10:00 am.
EARLY VOTING
In addition to voting at the polls on Election Day and absentee voting, Early Voting will now be offered for all federal and state elections. Early Voting for Bellevue Twp. will be held in cooperation with most other Eaton Co. jurisdictions at the Carmel Twp. Hall for nine days prior to each election. There will be no Early Voting for the ‘local only’ May 6 election due to cost constraints.
ABSENTEE VOTING
If you wish to receive an absentee ballot for this election or for all future elections, please contact the clerk for an absentee ballot application, which has a box to request to be added to the Permanent Ballot list. Rather than receiving an application for one or more of the elections every calendar year (as with the old permanent absentee voter list), you will apply once to receive a ballot for each election until you choose to be removed from the list. If you move, you will remain on the list and receive your ballot from your new jurisdiction at your new mailing address. If you move out of state, become ineligible to vote, move and fail to update your address, or fail to vote in six consecutive elections, you will be removed from the list.
