Voter Information

The 2024 Election Cycle is over! The statewide canvass of the Nov. General Election is complete. There were no recount requests involving Bellevue Twp. and all recounts statewide have been completed. The MI Dept. of State will schedule post-election audits soon. If Bellevue is selected for a random audit, the date and time will be posted here and the audit will be open to the public.

EARLY VOTING

In addition to voting at the polls on Election Day and absentee voting, Early Voting will now be offered for all federal and state elections. Early Voting for Bellevue Twp. will be held in cooperation with most other Eaton Co. jurisdictions at the Carmel Twp. Hall for nine days prior to each election.

ABSENTEE VOTING

If you wish to receive an absentee ballot for all future elections, please contact the clerk for an application to be added to the new permanent mail ballot list. Rather than receiving an application for one or more of the elections every calendar year (as with the old permanent absentee voter list), you will apply once to receive a ballot for each election until you choose to be removed from the list. If you move, you will remain on the list and receive your ballot from your new jurisdiction at your new mailing address. If you move out of state, become ineligible to vote, move and fail to update your address, or fail to vote in six consecutive elections, you will be removed from the list.

Eligible residents may register to vote at the Township office any time during normal business hours, or by appointment with the clerk. Click on the link below for a downloadable .pdf of the MI Voter Registration Form. Registered voters may update residence or contact information with the clerk, as well. They may also register or update voter information by mailing the completed form to Bellevue Twp. Clerk, PO Box 6, Bellevue, MI 49021, or online at the MI Secretary of State website at www.michigan.gov/sos. For more information about voting in Michigan, visit the Michigan Voter Information Center at michigan.gov/vote.
